ABOUT THE SYSTEM
The Clear and Straight in office aligner system is a concise exact logical system to create a series of quality clear aligners for your patients in your office. The system has been well tested commercially in use for over 15 years and now you can recreate the same in your own office at a fraction of the cost the large commercial aligner companies charge you. It's all based on 6 simple steps.
1. SCAN
The starting point for Clear and Straight Aligner manufacturing is the digitisation of the patients dentition. This can be done with and Intra Oral Scanner or digitising an impression or accurate stone model using a Dental Lab Scanner.
2. VIRTUAL SETUP
The virtual setup involves digitally moving the teeth into the desired position. It is important to note this may take a number of stages and correct planning of the stages is important for a successful outcome. Attachments and numbers are added at this stage as well. Various softwares are capable of this and give different levels of results. We can advise you of the best software for your situation.
3. VIRTUAL MODEL CREATION
At this stage the sequential models are calculated and created. This is a critical step as it takes into consideration the amount and type of movement each tooth must undergo per model, and therefore per aligner. Advanced software helps at this stage greatly and makes the job virtually automatic. Any repairs to the files are now done prior to 3D Printing.
4. 3D PRINTING
Models are imported into specialised 3D printing software and arranged on the virtual build platform. Automated tools make this process very easy. Files are sent to the printer and are printed perfectly in about 7 minutes on the NBEE printer or about 40 minutes on the Slash 2 Plus Printer.
5. MANUFACTURE ALIGNERS
Aligners are manufactured using standard pressure forming techniques you will aready know using the 3D printed models. Use your own machine or purchase one we recommend, it's easy !
6. DELIVER TO PATIENT
